This piece is centred around an intriguing, Victorian-era sepia portrait of a young woman wearing a bonnet and dress with a large bow. The photo is framed in puffy, baby-blue silken fabric & matching embroidered doily set against the same silken background.
The wood frame completing this beautiful piece is an antique one originally purchased at Eaton's of Montreal in the 1940s. It is adorned with small, sculpted rosettes and leaves, some of which may be cracking or have fallen off due to its age. These timeworn imperfections only add to the overall beauty of "Young Woman in a Bonnet." I hope you love them as much as I do!
The frame on this piece also has two hooks on either side, in order to hang up the piece on the wall using a wire or ribbon of your choice. This piece has a "sister piece" titled "Sitting Pretty," also featured in the "Home Fashions" section.
A must for any refined interior!
